Myself & 12 year old daughter absolutely love riding at Polmartin. The expertise of Jane is second to non, we also find Hugo, Eva, Lori & the other members of staff amazing. We have been frequent visitors to riding schools around this area over the years, but never found one as good as Polmartin, both mine & & my daughters skills & confidence have improved 10 fold. Thank you team Polmartin.

We're here on holiday and had a lovely riding session today with some games indoors to get used to the horses and warm up, then a trek around the very sheltered track outdoors. All the staff were helpful and very supportive of my daughter who's autistic.

Thank you to everyone at Polemartin Riding Stable - especially Jane for giving our family a wonderful lesson and hack out in the beautiful countryside. Alice (granddaughter) said it was the best part of her holiday. Also a special thanks to Jane for allowing me to ride Khan, it was a privilege to ride him. Hope to see you all again next time we are in Cornwall.

Just had 13 students, majority of which were complete beginners at the start of the week, pass their Level 1 BHS Riding and Stable Management. Thank you to Jane and her amazing team for always for coaxing and supporting our students through the week.

This place is lovely, the staff and Jane and Eric who own it are are all friendly and helpful. They are extremely experienced and knowledgeable. The horses are very well cared for and beautifully trained. Thank you for all you do.

My daughter and I have just returned from 3 days at Polmartin. We stayed on site in one of the shepherd's huts whilst my daughter had 4 hours of riding out and tuition with Jane spread over the 3 days. Jane's direction and support was incredible. My daughter's riding noticeably improved over the course of each session. She was riding the highest quality horses and her confidence has increased significantly in being trusted by Jane and thought capable of riding out on both Socrates and Magic. This positive attitude built at Polmartin has translated into her approach in her usual lesson at home and was commented on positively today by two instructors independently at the yard. The shepherd's hut was clean, warm, comfortable and very well equipped with the perfect view of grazing horses from its windows. It was a round trip of 540 miles for us and well worth every one of them.

Me and my partner visited Cornwall for a short holiday and we thought to go for an hour horse hack. Polmartin riding centre was really close to our accommodation and we had a great impression from their website so decided to give it a try. Jane, the owner, welcomed us and guided us trough the forms and everything we needed to know before the start of the hack, she even let us ride the horses for some time in the riding centre itself to give us some basic information and make sure we were comfortable riding them. The hack itself has been really pleasant and interesting, the lady that accompanied us gave us some info about the plants and lands we were passing through and has been really friendly for the whole time. If you want to book a hack or a lesson I would definitely recommend them, you can clearly see they are professionals and know what they’re doing, plus they have some amazing horses. Thank you Jane!

A tucked away gem of a small riding school. Predominantly Arab endurance horses but also some Cobs. All teaching is done by Jan the owner, who is so knowledgeable and really wants to teach us riders, to be in tune with the horse with sensitivity. The Arabs are all homebred and most are champions. There is a rather unique indoor arena that has a couple of stables in the middle, where you usually start your lesson, then once warmed up you go down to the outdoor arena.Private land allows off road hacks in the beautiful and quiet countryside.

We had such a lovely time riding at Polmartin. Some very beautiful, well looked after and loved horses. Jane is just brilliant and made our lesson such fun while learning so much. The private trails and being able to ride straight out from the stable is just excellent. I highly recommend Polmartin riding.

Wonderful stables. It had been a while since I had ridden and everyone made me feel at ease. My six year old also learnt a lot. The horses are well cared for and the owner is super knowledgeable. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Unfortunately we were just in Cornwall on holiday. Next time!
